Senior Recognition: Donovan Stein

The Cooper High School Track Team would like to recognize these seniors for all their hard work and dedication to their team and academics during their careers. Unfortunately, due to a global health crisis in our world today, all KHSAA athletic events have been cancelled for the remainder of the 2019-2020 academic year. Because we were not able to properly send-off our student-athletes, we hope that this small gesture of appreciation and recognition shows our love and gratitude for all of our student-athletes.

Parents/Guardians:

Rick Stein, Lynee Miller, Maria Stein, and Brian Miller

Favorite Track Memory:

My favorite memory is when I showed up to track practice with paint on my face from helping out a friend in photography and gained a lasting nickname, paint.

Academic Achievements:

A/b honor roll and being accepted into the vocational school for Machine tool program.

Athletic Achievements:

I have been on the track team for 4 years throwing shot out and discus. I joined the bowling team this year and have been on the archery team for 3 years. I was on the soccer team sophomore and junior year.

Who were your biggest supporters?

My biggest supporters were my family, the upperclassmen, and Coach Taylor.

What are your plans for after graduation?

I am accepted and committed to Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan. I am going for a 4 year degree in Welding Engineering Technology.

Any words of advice you have for your teammates.

A great coach once told me that in order to get every last bit is you have to talk to yourself. The only person that can motivate you the hardest is yourself.

THANK YOU DONOVAN
